Local X Change

Local X Change learning modules combine the content typically found in introductory art and engineering courses with project-based assignments that engage students and provide them with both tangible technical skills and the ability to innovate, problem-solve, and collaborate. Each module involves a high-stakes public presentation achieved in collaboration with faculty. These events include site-specific public installations, pop-up stores that raise money for charity, and mock reality-tv shows. Local X Change courses demystify the acquisition of technological skills and disarm the technological divide separating more technologically savvy learners from students that simply have not been exposed to technological resources or have previously had negative experiences with technology.
